Project
The Estevan Mine requested support to complete placement of approximately 192,000 bcm of topsoil across three locations at Pit 1910 of the Boundary Dam Mine located near Estevan, Saskatchewan.
Solution
The WestMET ERS team provided all labour, equipment and supervision required to complete the scope. This included completing preparation work at the locations followed by soil placement and post-placement quality control assessments. Material placement at all three locations met the minimum thickness of 22 cm.
Results
The project was completed on time and without any incidents leading to additional positive reclamation progress at the Estevan Mine.
